VESNA KOLOBARIĆ ART

...has a degree in Textiles and Clothes Design from the Faculty of Technology in Zagreb, capital of Croatia. At the atelier of the jewelery artist Lazer Lumezi she has learned the art of jewellery making from precious metal and web design.

Vesna Kolobarić makes silver jewellery and jewellery in soldering technique.

In different cycles of her work she looks into how the psycho-social, economic and ecological influences shape the visual identity of a certain period of time and how the technological and scientific advances affect the use of material in art creation.

Inspiration for all of Absolute BegiNNers items is drawn from rich cultural heritage of capital city of Croatia. It is bold, colorful and unique mixture of ornaments on basic of white cotton materials recognizable by Šestine folk costumes which still attract a lot of attention with their bright colours and distinctive patterns.
